Startup Founders Unite During Breast Cancer Awareness Month
We are excited to join five other women entrepreneurs today to fight cancer together during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The CEOs of each national brand, which include Excy, genneve, Heroclip, Pulse, Teadora, and TomboyX have all committed to donate a percentage of October proceeds to support the American Cancer Society efforts to save lives. Why? Because 1 in 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer and they are our families, our friends, our customers, us. Men can also get breast cancer. We’re doing it for all of us.
We are small start-ups, but we have big hearts. Each company was started with a mission to bring empowerment, joy and well-being to our customers’ lives, and we believe with all our hearts that we are making a difference in the world. It’s exciting to see this initiative come out of the Pacific Northwest, which has a great startup community that is passionate about driving innovation in the healthcare industry. We collectively have more impact when we fight together and we look forward to other startup founders joining the fight! Read the press release here.
Plus, it’s a great way to help stomp cancer while doing some holiday shopping!
Want to Do More? Join a Breast Cancer Awareness Strides Walk!
The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks raise awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer. Each event is a noncompetitive 3 to 5 mile walk that brings people together to make a difference for everyone who has been touched by breast cancer. The events raise money to fund innovative research, provide free information and support, and to help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it’s most treatable.
From the opening ceremony to the post-walk entertainment, a Making Strides event is a celebration of survivors and opportunity to remember loved-ones lost. It’s a day that shouldn’t be missed and won’t be forgotten.
